Please view the event brief and access the discount code to save 20% on registration fee. A ClubV / VitessX meet-up point will be present on-site and pace groups will be self-structured so nobody is left behind.
Here’s a welcome message from Val:
Hi all, I hope you have had a wonderful summer cycling! While I spent the summer on the side lines recovering from a concussion, I’m excited that I’m now well enough to get back in the saddle for Greg’s Ride, Ontario’s Ride for Safer Cycling, on Sunday, September 25 in Halton. I hope you will join me.
Hosted by Share the Road Cycling Coalition, Greg’s Ride began as a way to honour OPP Sergeant Greg Stobbart, who was killed in a training ride in Milton in 2006. Today, we honour all riders we have lost, and celebrate how far we have come to make Ontario roads safer for cycling. Share the Road’s advocacy efforts have recently led directly to the inclusion of a 1m safe passing law (Bill 31) and $25 million for the Municipal Cycling Infrastructure Fund.
Choose from one of three beautiful routes across Halton Region (15km, 60km or 98km) and enjoy the family-friendly post ride fun, including hot lunch and yoga! As part of ClubV and VitessX, you are welcome to join any ride distance, and you will get 20% off your registration (check the event brief on the VitessX Activate page for the discount code).
There is no fundraising required! Just a day of fun in the saddle with others who love to ride. I would love to see you and ride with you! Your registration will help make Ontario a safer place to cycle, and a happier, healthier more enjoyable place to live.
